70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc

“Crafted by winemaker Chris Peterson, this wine is named after vineyard manager Miguel Rodriguez. It’s composed of 70% merlot and has aromas offering notes of leaf, coffee, a medley of dried herbs, dark cherry and barrel spices. The palate is flavorful and rich but also shows a beautiful sense of restraint to the fruit and herb flavors. The structure is lovely. Gorgeous stuff with a very long life ahead of it.” - Sean Sullivan

  • 92 Points - Owen Bargreen, Washington Wine BlogA silky blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc sourced from the Wahluke Slope AVA, this wine begins with aromas of sagebrush that connect with the dark cherry and blackberry aromas that all build in the glass. The palate unveils a silky texture with a wonderfully soft mouthfeel that gives this a very Right Bank feel. Black currant, and anise flavors connect with the sagebrush and damp earth tones on the palate. While highly enjoyable in its youth, try to resist this beautiful wine for at least another year
