Meet Todd Chapman, Our New Vineyard Operations Manager

Great vineyards are shaped by the people who tend them. We're excited to introduce Todd Chapman, Sagemoor's new Vineyard Operations Manager.

With over 20 years of experience growing premium wine grapes across Washington State, Todd brings the kind of deep, hands-on expertise that exceptional viticulture demands. Most recently, he managed 1,300 acres and a team of 50 at Andrews Family Vineyards — where his work contributed to dozens of 95-point-and-above wines. Before that, he honed his craft at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates and Alexandria Nicole Cellars.

Todd studied Viticulture & Enology at Yakima Valley Community College and has built expertise across canopy and crop management, irrigation programming, integrated pest management, soil and tissue analysis, and precision agriculture. He currently serves on the Sustainable WA Technical Committee, helping shape statewide standards for responsible viticulture — values that align closely with Sagemoor's own commitment to the land.

Born and raised in Prosser, WA, Todd grew up on a small cherry farm — a foundation that shaped a lifelong connection to agriculture. When he's not walking the vines, you'll find him on the golf course, camping with his wife and four kids, or somewhere with a fishing line in the water.

In Todd's own words:

"I look forward to joining this amazing vineyard team and working with so many great winemakers. What I love about each vintage is trying to capture the vineyard's terroir, coupled with Mother Nature's influence. When done right, it tells an amazing story of that vintage in each bottle produced."
