Pasco, WA (4/12/23): Sagemoor Vineyards is pleased to announce the expansion of its vineyard team to include Brittany Komm as its new Vineyard Operations Manager. Brittany comes to Sagemoor Vineyards with a strong background in viticulture as the former Senior Viticulturist and Vineyard Manager at Precept Wine. Over her nine years with Precept, she oversaw roughly 1,500 acres including estate properties in Washington and Oregon, and managed Precept’s estate vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley. Brittany completed her Master of Science with an emphasis in viticulture from Washington State University. In her new role, Brittany will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company's vineyards, including vineyard management, pest and disease control, and harvesting logistics.
Having led vineyard operations since 2015, Lacey Lybeck has overseen vineyard innovations, mechanization, and data-driven management for winery customers, now to be continued under Brittany’s leadership. Lacey will be responsible for managing grape sales, part of her role since 2020 and a natural fit given her extensive relationships with Sagemoor winery customers. Lacey shares, “As Grape Sales Manager, I look forward to working hand in hand with our wine grape customers to supply the best fruit which compliments their wine style. After spending the past seven vintages understanding the terroir and nuances of our fruit at Sagemoor Vineyards, it continues to be a joy to match the perfect fruit and flavor profile to our customers’ vision for their wine.”
Kent Waliser will continue his role as Director of Wine Sales with a focus on sales of Sagemoor Estates wine, new custom crush services, and grape sales.
